Concept
I like the dutch word potsierlijk as it means not that graceful, something you might laugh at, as it is a bit weird. But if you read the word differently, potsierlijk could also mean graceful pot.
In this painting I therefore tried to combine both. First by making a pot with flowers that look graceful, on the other hand I also used different styles which makes the painting also looks not that graceful at the sometime. Hopefully it leaves people a bit confused.
Background Story
I was looking for other impossible forms with more curves. When I blended two impossible circles together in an angel of 90 degrees I got something that made me think about a flower. As I didn't made a flower painting in ages I thought it would be interesting to make one.
