Concept
The second part of the IDEA quadrilogy.
The whole concept (painting, text and title) is about forms.
In the painting De4med I tried to show four parts that are all the same but are all focused to a different side. As the parts are all intertwining, the combination of the four parts looks like as if the painting is a bit deformed, or as it is four sides, De4med.
Background Story
When I made Inside Out I made a few other drawings that look familiar but are different. As this painting looked a bit deformed I wanted to call it like that. After I finished the painting I used the art form of writing to tell more about forms. In that way the painting, title and the text are a triple combo of art forms about forms.
Blogtext: Vlakbij de Vorming
Ik liep al een tijdje rond met het idee dat ik mijn teksten, mijn schilderijen en de titels van mijn schilderijen moest combineren. Na een tijdje in cirkeltjes rondgedraaid te hebben, heb ik besloten dat de kruisbestuiving daarom maar eens vorm moest krijgen. Voor de vorm heb ik daarom eens gekeken of de driehoeksverhouding tussen de onderdelen zou werken. Bang om mijn eigen ruiten in te gooien was ik daarbij niet. Elke ronde is immers een nieuwe kans om iets te leren, daarom sta ik er zelf vierkant achter. Dus zelf als anderen het niks vinden doe ik het gewoon. Al kan ik de invloed van anderen natuurlijk nooit helemaal uitvlakken. Maar omdat ik op dat vlak weinig invloed heb, en wel invloed heb op de vlakken die ik op het doek zet werk ik daar dan maar aan. Zo werk ik ook aan mijn teksten. Natuurlijk gaat het wel eens mis, kan ik soms een kruis zetten door mijn ideeën, maar uiteindelijk is de cirkel rond en het resultaat daar.
